Easter is next weekend, and even though the classics are a good go-to for many, it’s also fun to switch it up when it comes to easter baskets (especially for the older kids) as well as some new cocktail and brunch ideas for whoever you are entertaining on this special holiday.

Basket Ideas-

Sand Bucket- Fill a sand bucket with fun outdoor activities and toys, like: squirt guns, chalk, kites, pool toys, and more.

Movie Basket- Fill a basket with movies, candy and popcorn. You could even throw in a cozy pair of PJ’s to enjoy the movies in. The basket can be a big popcorn bowl.

Plant Basket- For the gardener in your life, fill a basket with seed packets, a live plant or two, and some gardening gloves. Make the basket a cute decorative pot they can plant in!

Boozy Basket- For the 21+ over kids or friends in your life, make a fun boozy basket with their favorites. You can use: craft beers, wines, or little mini assortment of liquors.

Sundae Basket- For those that don’t care for candy, you can fill a basket with goods to make ice cream sundaes. Add: caramel sauce, hot fudge, bananas, marshmallows, cherries, and some fun sundae bowls.

Brunch Recipes-

Blueberry and Mascarpone Stuffed French Toast- This year, turn your Easter bread baguette into something a little more decadent: stuffed French toast! Filled with blueberries and ultra-creamy mascarpone cheese, this is hands down one of our best Easter brunch casserole recipes yet. Pure maple syrup takes each slice over the top.

Chive Deviled Eggs with Smoked Salmon- Nothing perks up an Easter buffet like a tray of deviled eggs. Made with smoked salmon and lush cream cheese, it’s no wonder this is one of our top Easter salmon recipes.

Bagel & Lox Skillet Strata- Turn your usual Sunday lox bagel into something a little more celebration-worthy: A strata! Crème fraîche, fresh dill, and feta help make one of our favorite Easter brunch strata recipes yet.

Buzzed Easter Peeps Cocktail- As you hang with your “peeps” this Easter holiday, serve up a Buzzed Peeps Easter Cocktail and toast all the good things. This is a creamy and delicious Easter drink.

Color Changing Margaritas- Use leftover cabbage from naturally dyeing your Easter eggs to turn your margarita fuchsia!

Cottontail Margaritas- You’re just one hippity hop away from a tropical daydream.

Vanilla Peach Bellinis- Easter is a little early for peaches, so use frozen!

Happy Easter!
