Decorating your Home for Fall

Whether you are selling and staging your home or are just wanting to change it up and add a touch of fall to the home this season, we can help you with some fun ideas and tips the whole family and guests will love!

Get Spooky-
Halloween is one of the most fun holidays to decorate for and is coming up fast. You can go fun and carve some jack-o-lanterns for the front porch, or just decorate with different shapes and colors of pumpkins. To go scary, try putting up some motion activated monsters for trick-or-treaters. Add some fake spider web with fake spiders for extra spook. For Halloween decorations inside the home, have the kids help, and add touched of Halloween décor all over the house, they will remember it forever.

Fall/Harvest- Whether you decorate for Halloween or not, the harvest theme can stay up all of fall. Straw bales decorated with pumpkins and gourds can jazz up any front porch, and look great in photos! You can add fall foliage like mums, leaves, and pinecones as well, and not just on the porch, but throughout the home. You can make or buy fall garland for fireplace mantels, and add some extra fall décor to really give the cozy fall feel we all love.

Colors- Even just swapping out the fun summer colors for warmer fall colors throughout the home can change the feeling. You can swap out: throws on couches, decorative pillows, area rugs, and hand towels in bathrooms. If you are staging a home or having guests over, think about lighting some warm candles- baked goods are always a good cold weather choice!

Thanksgiving- Since the kids are out of school for the week, think about making some fun thanksgiving décor for your holiday guests. There are plenty of DIY signs, table décor, and more online. We love Better Homes & Gardens fall décor tips. (https://www.bhg.com/thanksgiving/decorating/ )
