About Three Rivers, Oregon

Sitting between Sunriver proper and 15 minutes from Mt. Bachelor, Three Rivers South has the best of both worlds; it has some of the benefits of Sunriver, but allows space from the hustle & bustle during peak tourist seasons. Three Rivers South includes neighborhoods such as Deschutes River Recreation Homesites (DRRH), River Meadows, and Oregon Water Wonderland. Generally, the resorts are excluded when describing this community.

The Deschutes River bows around the backside of one of the housing developments providing ample summertime water recreation. Branching off the main drive are forest roads that lead to river outlets, mild-to-moderate hiking and snow parks and trails for wintertime snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.

Three Rivers South is a great place to grow a family; a recently renovated kindergarten through eighth grade public school – Three Rivers – is located just a couple miles from most housing, offering classes like theatre, art, and advanced high school preparation courses as well as afterschool sports including boys and girls basketball, track, and cross-country. A local pub – The Wallows – offers a full bar and family friendly seating, with a comfortable, hometown feeling. It’s a great place for an enjoyable dinner out without the 17-mile drive to Bend.
