Last week we gave you some gift ideas for mom for Mother’s Day, but with so many people not being able to celebrate in person this year, we have come up with some fun ways you can celebrate with mom for her special day, near and far.

Video Chat- This has become increasingly popular with the stay at home order, and is a great way to not only talk to the people you love, but see them as well. Two iPhones can FaceTime together, or if you have Zoom, that is another way to video chat. If mom doesn’t have the resources for either, reach out to a friend of hers or a neighbor, and see if anyone can help.

Phone Call- Some people are so busy that even a phone call to mom can seem like a lot, but even if it’s just 10 minutes, it will mean the world to her. You can even do something fun like: over the phone dance party, play or sing a song for mom, or tell her some jokes.

Virtual Experiences- You can do things together virtually like: cooking classes, amusement park tours, and more. Airbnb is offering virtual experiences right now, so go check them out and pick a fun one for mom.

Give the Gift of Music- You can either send mom a custom playlist of all of her favorite songs, or songs that remind you of her, or learn to play or sing a song. No matter how terrible you think you sound, she will love it!

Virtual Paint Night- If she doesn’t have the supplies for painting, you can send a care package with everything she will need, and get on Zoom or FaceTime, and paint away. You can either just paint away, or try and re-create one you both love. You can keep your paintings, or swap them and send hers, she sends hers to you.

Here is the list of gift ideas we have put together, in case you have yet to get her something.

Make mom feel special on her day, even if you live far away, or just can’t see eachother right now.
Happy Mother’s Day, from all of here at The Jones Group @ Sunriver Realty.
