The weather is getting warmer, and more people are spending time outside, so why not spruce up your outdoor patio area and create the perfect spot for unwinding after a long day? We can help!

Make a Plan- Go online, look at magazines, or look on Pinterest and get an idea of what you want your patio area to look like with the amount of space you have. Really figure out the kind of feel you want it to have, whether it be zen, more modern, or family friendly with lots of space and east clean up.

Furniture- Most people want all new everything when they are re-designing an area of the home, but unless your outdoor furniture is really old and falling apart, it may just need to be re-furnished with new pillows and padding. It may be weathered from years of sitting out in the elements, so buy new cushions for a whole new feel, and be sure to take care of it by covering up when it rains, and try and bring inside during the winter, or cover really well to avoid getting snowed on.

Lights- Hanging lights outside can completely change the feel of the area, and creates a very relaxing atmosphere. Find some hanging lights that suit the vibe you are going for and hang them around your umbrella, pergola, or wherever you want them to light up outside.

Fountain/ Water Feature- If you have always wanted a water feature in your yard, but thought it was a hassle or too much work, there are easier options without having to dig in your yard to create a pond, unless you want of course. You can look into making your own using all different kinds of household items, check out your local garden store, or buy online and have It delivered right to you with easy set up directions.

Outdoor BBQ Area- Think about sprucing up your outdoor grilling area. Again, going online to get inspiration is a great idea. Figure out how much space you have, and what your wants and needs are for an outdoor kitchen area, and start building yourself, or recruit the help of a local building professional. You can add around your grill: counter tops, a couple cabinets, small fridge, sink, and some lighting.

Backyard Entertainment- Buy some fun yard, card, and board games for nights on the patio, and don’t forget the music! You can have weather-proof speakers installed, or buy a waterproof bluetooth speaker for easy transportation.

Once you have put together a nice relaxing area outside, invite some friends and family over for a BBQ and drink, while still social distancing of course.

Happy Relaxing,
