It’s hard to believe it’s already September. Summer flew by, and now with the kids back in school, it’s the perfect time to really reflect. Reflect on 2019, and get clear about how you want to end the year, and start 2020, for business and your personal life. Here are some tips that will help you get started:
Try and take some time every day or every other day to just think. Think about where you are and where you want to be, whether that be working more, or less for business, or possibly changing careers. For your personal life, what you are just not happy with and want to change. It may be getting healthier, making more friends, or letting go of friends that no longer make you happy, or improving your love life. It helps to write down these down so you can make notes as they pop into your mind, and when you have free time, take a peek.
After flying through the year, we can look around and realize how unorganized things may be, with business, or home life. Now is the time of year to start getting organized. With work, it can be organizing files in an office or on a computer, putting together finances in a computer program, or just tidying up. For home, a good fall cleaning, sorting, donating, and organized always feels good with this cooler weather. You can start by pulling things out from shelves, closets, and really getting clear about what you just don’t need anymore and can donate. Before putting back the things you want to keep, deep clean those areas. It’s much easier to get this stuff done before the holidays.
After you have done some reflecting and become clear about what you want or want to change, start making those changes! It can be hard to put yourself out there and jump into possibly the unknown, but you will be so glad you did when you look back at your notes, and can start checking things off your list, and improving your life. Some of these things will take some time, so don’t get frustrated if they are not happening fast enough. Just stay focused, you will get there.
