The holidays are upon us! We posted to our social media accounts the other day some fun re-usable gift bags you can buy or make yourself, but with so many other great, sustainable gift wrapping ideas, we wanted to dive in deeper and share with you what we found and would be useful for you all, enjoy!

Cotton Fabric Wrap Squares- You can either make your own by using fun, cotton fabric squares that can be reused as a face mask, head wrap, or framed as wall art, or buy from brands like Wrappr.

Thrift- You would be shocked at how much you would look at and think ‘I can wrap a gift with that’ once you start looking. Dig in old bins in the attic or go to your local thrift stores to get some fun wrapping tools. You can use old ornaments, bells, or fun little decor to dazzle up the outside of a wrapped gift.

Old Maps- This is something almost everyone has laying around that they probably don’t use anymore, or you can find at a thrift store. You can either use single sheets if the gift is small enough, or tape a couple sheets together to fit a bigger box. To make it even more personal, you can find a map of where the gift receiver use to live, grew up, or just a special place to them, and use that.

Newspaper- This may seem simple and not very appealing, but it’s so easy to jazz it up with some fun ornaments or bows on the outside, or some bright colored ribbon. Again, if you use a fabric type ribbon, it can be reused for other gifts, or in the hair.

Re-Usable Fabric Bags- You can either make some reusable tie bags, or buy online. These are great because they can be used for years to come to re-gift, or used for other things, such as storage for: hair ties and clips, craft items, toiletries or makeup for travel, or use in place of sandwich bags- pretty much anything!

Eco-Friendly Wrapping Paper- There are plenty of options at stores near you, but if you’re not having any luck, recommend to your local market, then order online. These are great because they can recycled, or re-used if thick enough and kept in good shape.

All of these ideas are not only better for the environment than regular wrapping, but they are so beautiful, everyone will love them so much, they won’t want to unwrap for the gift inside.

If you use any of these great ideas for gift wrapping this year, take some photos and tag us, we would love to see!

Happy Holidays,
